Tonight I cleaned up at Albertsons!! I can't sleep because I am too excited about it!! I spent $37.67 out of pocket and got back two $15 itune gift cards, $6 toward a ticket to Toy Story 3 and $4 off my next purchase at Albertsons!!...and here is the awesome stuff I have to show for it:

The Toy Story deal is in specially marked Energizer battery packs....and two of my receipts printed $2 off my next Albertsons trip when I complete a survey.

I spent two hours there....but in the end, it was worth it, wouldn't you say??

Best Deal I've EVER Gotten!!

Today I made a last minute stop at Walgreen's. I had some good coupons to use, but was debating since I am trying not to spend a lot out of pocket unless I really need a particular time, and most of the time with Walgreen's, I get Register Rewards, which are great, but I have to spend money to get them, then I have to find things to buy with them. Here is what I got:

My total out of pocket?? $16.62. Register Rewards back?? $15. So I got all of this for $1.62!!!!! Crazy!!!

Here is what I did. If you buy 3 specific Huggies products, you get a $5 RR, so I did three different transactions. When I got to the diaper aisle, I saw that the "Cool Alert" Pullups were on clearance for $2.89. Since I didn't need Pullups as much as diapers and wipes, I used the money maker to get diapers and wipes for CHEAP!! I did two Pullups with a diaper or wipe in each transaction to balance out the total. I ALWAYS save diaper coupons or print them just in case, so I had a bunch on hand. I also have the Walgreens coloring book coupon which gets me $1 off every pack (ask the cashier if you can keep it, instead of them tearing it out, they will probably let you). Also, depending on your cashier, you may be able to use the Pure and Natural $3/1 coupons as these work on any pack of diapers. My cashier's opinion is that if the coupon works, he'll take it!! Love it!!

This deal is even sweeter if you just want Pullups. With the coloring book and $2/1 MCS, you make over $5 with the RR !! Keep in mind that you do need to have a filler though, since your coupons will exceed your total!

The Purex is BOGO free right now and I had the BOGO free MC from a mid-week Red Plum a few weeks ago, so I got both free. I also had a $2/1 cottenelle wipes MC and they are on sale for $1.99 with in-ad coupon, so these were also FREE!!

This unexpected deal made my day!!!

Nabisco coupons and $10 rebate!!

In my Kroger store, on a Nabisco display, I found a booklet entitled "'Keep the Jingle in your Holidays' Party Planner."
It has $40 worth of Nabisco coupons in the back, many holiday recipes and a few coupons off board games. There are also two mail in rebates for $10 when you buy 10 of the participating products. The rebates are the same, but are good at different times (one from 10/1-11/30, the other from 12/1-1/31) so you can theoretically do the rebate twice per household. The products are the same for the coupons and rebate:

Any Nabisco crackers (ritz, wheat thins, triscuts, honey maid grahams, sociables, better cheddars, chicken in a biskit)

Kohl's is having a great sale this weekend. You can get 20% off your $100 order, plus $10 Kohl's cash for every $50 spent (before tax and discount).
I did my transaction online and spent $125, getting $25 off, free shipping, and then I will get $20 back in Kohl's cash. So total OOP will be $80, plus about $6.50 in tax.

I also got a $10 voucher to spend in store (with no minimum purchase ) sent to my email on Wednesday. Did anyone else get this?

Albertson's is having a great sale this week. In their ad they have their Post cereals on sale for $1.57 each, I was going to top this with my $1/2 MFCs and get them for about $1 a piece, when I got to the store they are doing an extra deal where if you buy 5 you get a $5.00 coupon on your next purchase. You end up getting them with coupons for about 50 cents a piece.
Also in the ad they have a deal if you buy 10 Lipton pasta/rice side dishes (they're on sale 10/$10) you get $5 off rotisserie chicken. I talked to one of the employees and they said it would print out whether you bought the rotisserie chicken or not. I tried it and sure enough it worked. So their about 50 cent each as well. I thought these would be great to stock up on for food storage.

No longer a rumor, I went at midnight last night (to make sure still in stock). Buy 3 jumbo packs of Gentle Care Huggies for $10 a pack, get $10 RR. With 3 $5 off MCs, you should pay $16.98 OOP, then you get a $10 RR and send in for $3 rebate from Caregivers Marketplace. You can do this over and over again for as many coupons as you have, just don't use your RRs to pay for the next order or another one won't print out.
Also, if you printed your MCs on coupons.com before Friday, you can go back and print another two per computer!!

So a lot of you know I am big into my great deals and savings money, etc. A few months back I read a post on one of my money saving blogs about doing an online offer. You've seen them before...you get a free gift for signing up for so many offers. Anyway, this post had the inside scoop on the right way to do these offers so that you actually earn and receive your reward. I have always been very skeptical of these, and was still skeptical even after reading many testimonials from regular people who posted on this blog. So in September I decided to bite the bullet. I had to order 8 items (I ended up ordering 9, see below). By the time I sent back some of the free trial items, and had made sure I had no more obligations on the products I ordered, I had spent a total of $80.69 out of pocket. It took only a few weeks for the website to show my offers as qualifying, then I was able to print out and send in the redemption certificate. They received it October 24th and I received my reward in the mail TODAY!!

$500 of gas gift cards!!! A profit of $419.31.

So if anyone is interested, this is my personal testimonial. The site I used is:

As I said before, there is a right way to do it, so if you are interested, just email me and I will help you through it. Here are a couple of the most important things:

Set up a new email address.
Sign up for all your offers in one sitting. When you get to the website, click through to the last page, this is where you will have to do the most offers. Write down which four you want to do, and how much it will cost, then move backwards through the other two pages. Once you have planned all your offers, click through to the offer website, but don't start your order yet. First, go back to the front page of the website, and click "Check Gift Status." This will tell you whether consumer-rewardzone.com has recognized your offer as "pending." If so, go back to the offer website and place your order. If not, click through to the offer site again, and repeat checking the "Check Gift Status" for a pending order.
After you have placed all of your orders, set up a spreadsheet of all your offers, and the details on each, including what the return policy is, when you have to have the trial product returned by, etc.
When you send back a trial product, send it back with a proof of delivery. This costs $5.45 at the post office, but its worth it to make sure you don't get charged.
After a few weeks, go back to "Check Gift Status." You should see your offers have changed colors and now say "approved" by them. Once all of them are approved (I had to do another offer because one wasn't approving and I didn't want to take any chances, apparently this happens most of the time), it will tell you how to go to the redemption center to print your Certificate. You only have a few weeks between when you complete your offers and when you send in your certificate, so stay on top of it.
Make sure you send your certificate with a proof of delivery so you know they received it.
My reward arrived in approximately 12 weeks.

On top of a huge profit, I got some diet products, panty hose and proactiv out of it!!

So today Walgreen's has the $5 off $20 coupon, and it's double dip days, I got 4 bags of candy and used 2 of the September IVC for $1 off two bags Hersheys harvest bags, then combine with the October ESR for $5 rebate on 4 bags. Then I got the Glade fabric and air spray combined the ESR for $1 off for both September and October, plus $1 off IVC for September, and the $1.50 MC. I paid $3 and will get a rebate for $4.50! I did the same thing with the Glade scented oil refills. Total, out of pocket, $8, and I will be getting about $12 in rebates. I'm going to go back and do the same thing with Oust, and Garnier shampoo.

Total at register $22.23 plus tax (around $2.30). There is a SCR for $10 Riteaid GC WYB $25 worth of P&G products (which of course these all qualify), so you get back a check for $13.73, plus a $10 GC, so you will get all of these for less than $1.

While the $10 off $40 coupon is on, I suggest you buy some FAR items as well as some things that you need, so you are essentially using the overage you make on the FAR items to get the items you actually need free. For instance, Huggies diapers are a decent price this week $9.49 plus $2 RR, so if you need them, make them part of your transaction and you will end up getting them free. Also, think of the $10 off $40 as 25% off and look through the ad this week and see what items would be worth purchasing with that additional savings. For instance:

DayQuil and NyQuil Plus are $4.99 (3.75) - $3 RR = $0.75
Reynolds foil wrap $.089 (0.67) - 0.55/1 MC = $0.12
Powerade $0.89 (0.67) - $1/1 MC = -$0.33
Ghirardelli Chocolate bags 2/$3 (2.25) - $1/2 = $1.25 for 2

I've also heard that 2 John Frieda products will get you $5 RR, and they are BOGO 50%off, or 2 for $9.74, with two $2/1 MCs and 25% off with $10 off $40, you will make$0.69.

They also have pledge dusters 2/$2 after $2 rebate. Combine B1G1 free coupon and $1 off coupon from the paper to get a total of $3 off, you make $1!

They also have a $2 rebate on Pert Plus Shampoo which makes it $.99. Combine with $2 MC and make $1 overage.

Finally they have their Lysol disinfecting wipes B1G1 free. Combine with $1 coupon get them both for just over $2.

Here is one of the best deals ever (assuming it works, I had a little hiccup with my RR printing last night at midnight, but I think I just went when their systems were rebooting).....

Walgreens has a $5 off $20 right now, which is always the best time to buy your rebate items from the ESC. This summer they have been putting them on every other Friday, so I like to wait til the end of the week to make my purchases for that week. The coupon is announced the day before it goes on.

So here is what I did...

You have to spend $20 after MCs, my total after MCs was about $20.50, with $5 off coupon, what I paid at the register was $15.77. With $5 RR for the Bertolli, $4 RR for the skippy, and ESC rebate for the shampoo, I spent $2.98!!

2 Degree women's deodarant $1.99 ($1/2 MC)

$21 is the total after MCs, with $5 off coupon, pay $16 plus tax at register, get $2 RR for diapers, you spend $14, amounting to more than 50% off these sales prices.

At Walgreen's this weeks, if you purchase two Bertolli dinners you get $5 RR. They are on sale for $5.99. Use the two $1.50 coupons from the paper, or you can print them online here, after coupons and RR they come out to $2 a piece.

Blockbuster almost free movies for your home collection

If you don't already have a "total access" blockbuster membership (this is the online one where they send you the movies by mail), sign up for a free month's trial. If you have had one in the past, you can get another free trial, you will just need to use a different email address.
Once you get signed up, log in and go to the "BUY" section. I looked by genre, and found a few "previously viewed" movies that are old favorites. You want to spend right around $10, cause the deal is $10 off $10. I was able to get these two for $11.21 with tax. During checkout, put in the code "augappreciation." You only get free shipping if your entire order is previously viewed movies, so choose these or its not worth it. I have quite a few of these and I've never had a problem with scratches or skipping. So I paid $1.21 for two movies!

Walgreens Deal August 3-9, 2008

So in Sunday's (8/3) newspaper, there is a $10 MIR for buying 10 Kellogg's products specifically listed on the form (and MCs for these very products surrounding the MIR form). All 10 products must be on the same receipt. The most profitable way to take advantage is to go to Walgreens and buy 4/$10 Kellogg's cereal listed in the ad, then 5/$10 keebler cookies, rice krispie treats, etc. on the second page of the ad. With both deals, you get a $5 Register Reward (RR) to be used as cash toward your next Walgreens purchase. Depending on your MCs, you can get all 10 items for free, or even make money once you send in the $10 rebate.
Here is what I did:
2 Raisin Bran ($1 off 2 MC)
2 Fruit Loops ($1 off 2 MC)
4 Keebler cookies (two $1 off 2 MC)
1 Cheez it crackers
1 Rice Krispie Treat

So with my $4 MC savings, I paid $18 plus tax at the register, received $10 toward my next Walgreens purchase in RR, and will get $10 back by MIR. I MADE $2!!

HINT: if you only have access to one set of newpaper inserts (I have two, thus why I had two Keebler coupons), get 2 boxes of Rice Krispie Treats in exchange for two of my Keebler cookies and use $1 off 2 MC for my same deal.

The only downer with this deal is that you have to send in all the UPCs from your 10 products. I have had problems remembering this in the past and thrown away packages. I recommend getting them all up front, even if this means putting products in plastic bags.

Natalie and I decided to start this blog so that we can share all the deals we aren't reading about on other blogs or those we spin off of other people's ideas....so just one more place for you look since we all have different needs. I have to preface any further posts with my thoughts on bargain shopping. It's fun! It gives you a high! My family is not particularly stretched for money, so I often get teased about my obsession with finding deals considering the amount of planning it requires in my busy life. My retort is that every penny I save, I can use toward something else. It just makes sense to get the best deal you can, doesn't it?

RiteAid and Walgreens

I'll let Hilary post her awesome Walgreens deal. This is what I've found at Walgreen's and Riteaid this week:

First, at Riteaid, they have got free after rebate (FAR) deals that end today, Gillette razors and shampoo, Nice'n Easy hair color, GE light bulbs. They also have RENU contact solution FAR plus there's a $1 MC (manufacturers coupon) at Coupons.com, see link to the side, which means you'll make $1!. They also have FAR Olay skin cleanser and Revlon nail polish.

As for Single check Rebates (SCR) they have Infusium shampoo with a $2 SCR add to that the $3 MC in this weeks paper which makes it $1.
They also have a $2 SCR on Cutter insect repellent, add the $1 MC which makes it $1.

The things I'll be purchasing at Walgreens this week.

If I can find it, I'll be getting the FAR walgreen's water pitcher filter. I have switched over to a water filtration system, to do my part for the environment, I've also noticed it has drastically reduced our garbage output. It seems to work out to be just about the same price to do this than to buy the bottled water.

Also, if you live in Idaho Falls, this week only, the Walgreen's ad has a coupon for $3 off $10 purchase if you go to the new store. Also in this weeks ad is a coupon for a $25 giftcard for a new or transferred prescription.

I will also be getting the mix 'n match cleaners 2/$3 after MIR (Mail in Rebate) of $2 on 2. I will combine my two $.75 Shout coupons to the rebate to get 2 Shout Spray for $1.50. I also have a scrubbing bubble coupon and windex coupon for the same amount that I could also combine to get 2/$1.50.

Walgreen's also has a coupon in ad for 25% off Printer Cartrige Refills.

There's also a Walgreen's in ad coupon for $.99 Dawn dish soap. Combine with $.50 MC to make it $.49.

Welcome from Natalie and Hilary, we are sisters who enjoy sharing our great deals. FYI many of our deals use Manufacturer's coupons from the Sunday paper. We highly recommend finding someone who gets the paper who would let you have the coupons, or subscribing to your local paper. It is worth the money you will save each week. We keep EVERY coupon unless it's something we KNOW we won't buy, even if it is a great deal, like pet coupons because we don't have pets, but other than that we keep them all because you never know what kind of deal you'll run across, and just wish you had the coupon. We also use a lot of online coupons and have listed the sites we use for that. We hope this site will help you find some great deals here in the future. I've also posted an online lingo list so that you can understand what we are even blogging about!
